Cambrist

Here's another word to help win at your next Scrabble or Trivial Pursuit game: cambrist. (Though, for Scrabble, it would be nice if it had an "X" in it.) Part economist, political analyst and professional foreign currency trader, a cambrist can tell you anything you need to know about buying and selling on foreign exchange markets.

The unusual name comes from the Latin word (take a guess here) "to exchange." They analyze everything from political events, past history of exchange rates, Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of a country, debt ratios and anything else that could possibly affect foreign exchange rates. So whether you need to know the rate to exchange Nigerian naira for Canadian dollars or how a trade war could affect foreign currency rates, a cambrist is the person to call. There's a similar term "cambist" which means pretty much the same thing...it's kind of a potato/poTAHto situation.
