Master of Public Administration - MPA
Categories: Education
An MPA (Master of Public Administration) is to the public sector what an MBA is to the private sector: it’s a graduate degree that prepares students to lead people, manage organizations and projects, solve problems, and generally save the world.
While each university offers its own MPA twist, most curricula include classes in subjects like statistics, economics, finance, political science, leadership, ethics, communications, and—of course—business.
MPA programs, like most master’s degree programs, are intended to take about two years to complete. Attaining an MPA can substantially add to our student debt, but it might also be able to land us a job that helps us pay it off.
