MINTs (Mexico, Indonesia, Nigeria, Turkey)
Categories: International, Index Funds
Kind of a catchy, kitschy mneumonic for very fast-growing (usually) emerging market countries, whose long history of governmental corruption at the price of their own citizens has left long scars and deep mistrust in the group.
However, when the mistrust fades, the collective of stocks from these companies often skyrockets, and shorter-term investors can make bank in the time it takes to open a refreshing mint.
