Sequential Growth

Categories: Metrics, Accounting

When companies are tracked as growing sequentially, like quarter to quarter, they're just growing secularly, continually, i.e., lots. The counter-tracker is year-over-year, or YOY, or like...one season this year versus the same season last year. As in: it'd be silly to track lawn mower sales sequentially. Who buys them in November? But summer season over summer season last year? Yeah, relevant.
