Mowgli Timeline & Summary

Mowgli, an unnamed naked baby, wanders into a wolf's den.
Instead of eating the yummy baby, though, the wolves take him in.
He's being pursued by the tiger Shere Khan, and Mother Wolf taunts Shere Khan, saying one day Mowgli will grow up and kill him.
Mowgli grows into a naked boy, getting accepted by the Wolf Pack and trained in the ways of the jungle by Baloo.
But Shere Khan plots to get Mowgli kicked out of the pack, and Bagheera advises Mowgli to live in the village of men.
Mowgli moves in with Messua, a village woman, who gives him a loincloth because he reminds her of her dead son.
While herding buffalo, Mowgli seizes the opportunity to trample Shere Khan to death.
He skins Shere Khan, even though the village's main hunter wants the skin.
Buldeo, the hunter, kicks Mowgli out of the village.
Wearing Shere Khan's hide, Mowgli returns to the jungle to tell the wolves Shere Khan is dead.
But he refuses to lead them because they kicked him out, and he goes into the jungle to live alone.
