What's Up With the Title?

Aside from the original novel, which had to go throwing around the word Prometheus in there, books and movies starring Frankenstein don't have the most complicated titles. There's Frankenstein (1931), Bride of Frankenstein (1935), Son of Frankenstein (1939), The Ghost of Frankenstein (1942), and Hot Tub Frankenstein Machine (canceled).

Young Frankenstein follows in this tradition, but making sure you know that the Frankenstein in this title is the doctor, not the monster, who often gets confused for "Frankenstein." The protagonist of this movie is the youngest Frankenstein, Frederick, the grandson of Victor from the original stories. Who knows, maybe the monsters' corpses are related too.
