Glory
Have you seen the pilot uniform? That's a spiffy get-up. And it turns heads. People may not know a lot of pilots by name unless they proved themselves as heroes, but they have a lot of respect for you. Do you remember how much training and education was required to get here?! You worked your butt off! You worked your butt off so much you barely have anything to sit on in the cockpit anymore! If you don’t feel any glory after the hours and effort you put in, you need a lesson in self respect (snap, snap). And, as a rule, people have a lot of respect for someone in uniform, so, even if it wasn’t difficult to get where you are, they’d still stop and salute you as you walk by.
