Fame

Fame really isn't the goal of a CSI. The only way to become famous as a CSI is to do your job really poorly...so that lots of people get sick. Total buzzkill, right? So, if it's fame you're after, skip becoming a CSI and see if you have a large trust fund lying around somewhere. If you do, then you can be famous for being rich and famous. That should work out wonderfully. CSIs want to be known only in their own workplace for being a good co-worker and possibly for their karaoke skills at the annual plant picnic.
