You might think you're producing beauty and art for the world to enjoy. In reality though, where's that beautiful blown glass Christmas tree ornament you spent three days creating going to end up?
The best-case scenario, it ends up on the tree, lost amongst a gazillion other store-bought ornaments. Worst-case, everyone forgets about it and it gets left in a box in basement storage to eventually be crushed into tiny, insignificant pieces.
But you do get to tell your friends that you're skilled in "an ancient art form." So there's that.
