Not a lot of turnover in this biz—if you're an established hair and makeup person, your reputation will carry you through from project to project. All it takes is a director or two to like what you do, and you won't have to work too hard on your own to drum up gigs. If you become Tim Burton's go-to hair and makeup person, you'll be more worried about hanging onto your sanity.
