Description:
What is a Current Asset? A current asset is any asset a company has that could be sold for cash value within a year if it were to be liquidated. It is essentially a measurement of a company’s liquid assets, such as cash, tradable securities, inventory, and accounts receivables. Assets that could take longer and are generally considered illiquid, such as buildings, land, heavy equipment and patents or other intellectual property, are not categorized as current assets.
